Yash Vora is our Adder of the Week.
In the 3rd XI match at Cheam in sweltering conditions, Yash came in no 5 and hit a brilliant 70 to ensure that Addiscombe made a competitive total on a decent track with a lightening outfield. Yash top-scored and we also had good contributions from Ross Williams, Mo Jaffer and Sadiq Mansoor to ensure we ended with 248 from our 45.
Cheam have some good batsman and started well but we got 3 quick wickets which all fell to catches by Yash as wicket-keeper. It was not straight-forward and Cheam's lower order gave us some worries but we bowled them out for 221 and won the match by 27 runs. It meant ACC stay 3rd in the league.

Jon Kuhrt, 3rd XI skipper said:
"There are not many players in the club who play more classy shots than Yash. This innings was him at his best: he played himself in, defended the good balls and put real pressure on the bowlers by hitting the bad balls hard and with real conviction. It was a joy to watch. Here's to Yash hitting many more match-winning innings - there is no doubt he has the talent."
And Yash responded to his award by saying:
"Felt good to finally get some runs after being in a rough patch. I’d like to thank Jon and my team-mates for supporting me and helping me get through this rough period. Shout-out to Nikhil as well for giving me extra help aside from training. Well done to the team for getting through the game given the tough weather conditions. Shout-out to all the bowlers for bowling tight lines and doing their job. Hopefully, there will be many more wins to come!!! Up the A’s!!!"
