Nikhil Malhotra won his 3rd Adder of the Week award for a great spell of spin bowling last weekend. His efforts meant the 2nd XI beat Kingstonian CC by 21 runs.
Nikhil is having an excellent season, influencing the course of matches with his bowling and batting - and not just his banter! He is also captaining our Sunday Academy XI.
He tops the club's bowling stats with the most wickets, 26 at an average of 16. He has also scored over 160 runs and taken 9 catches this season.
His Skipper, Antony Starnes said:
"This was an excellent spell of bowling and exactly what the team required to win the game. His first wicket was taken with his first ball which was an absolute peach of a delivery. Well bowled Vivek!!"
And Nikhil responded to his award by saying:
"It’s my first time getting 5 wickets for the 2s and it felt really nice. I was happy to re-pay the trust my skipper has in me though this season. But to quote Robbie Naraine “You're only as good as your next game”. Feels really good to win it again but hopefully I can keep helping the team out."
