Former ACC all-rounder shares his Sandilands memories

"Addiscombe CC taught me a lot and really helped me develop, as a cricketer and as a person"
- Jason Moore

Name: Jason Moore

Nickname: Mooreo or Pea-Head to some of the ACC boys

How would you describe yourself as a player? A batsman who plays too many shots. A bowler who tries to take too many wickets.

Best memory playing for ACC? Has to be the years we got promotion. Playing in a team full of good players, who all had a lot of fun off the pitch as well.

Most embarrassing cricketing memory? Being run out for not very many playing in a Sunday game against Chessington CC. I set off for a run but got my foot caught in my pad, ripping the pad off in the process before literally crawling to make my ground. I tried to look for sympathy from the umpire but he told me to get on my way. Safe to say, that was not a great Sunday.

Cricketing hero? Marcus Trescothick, loved the way that he hammered the opening bowlers without much foot movement.

(Watch Tresco smash the Aussies in the 2005 Ashes)

Favourite format to watch? Test cricket, especially when the seam bowlers have the upper hand

Best thing about Addiscombe CC? It is a club that taught me a lot and really helped me to develop, as a cricketer and a person.
