Name: David Roche
Nick Name: Rochie
Club Role: Social Events Organiser, 1st team squad player
How would you describe yourself as a player?: Very Round. I am a bit average at batting, bowling and wicket-keeping, but I am always attacking. When I bat most of my shots are straight out of the hockey coaching manual!
How long have you played at Addiscombe? Over 15 years
What is your best cricketing memory? Playing on the Nursery Ground at Lords to celebrate the club's 150th Anniversary in 2016.
What is your most embarrassing moment on a cricket pitch? I have a few! One was being hit for the most massive 6 ever onto the academy roof at the Home of Cricket. It was huge.
Another was when I was stranded 96 not out whilst the last over was blocked out for a maiden by the other batsman. I had only faced 56 balls but had torn a hamstring and Lewis Noble was my runner. Starnesy was the other batsman, normally he smashes it but he 'thought it would be funny' to block the last over. To be fair, it was quite funny.
If you could be any player, past or present, who would it be? Freddie Flintoff. He always seemed to be enjoying himself and having fun and a laugh - which is how it should be.
Favourite format to watch: Test
Predictions for Addiscombe's 2020 season: Its a Big Year Ahead!
Why is Addiscombe CC a great club to join? Friendly and welcoming atmosphere, great social scene and a club really starting to go places
